Jr. Age Group Championships Summary

Swim Families - Here's a recap from Coach Barbara.

CONGRATULATIONS to the 9 swimmers competing at JAGS over the past weekend. They did an outstanding job swimming best times and many scored in the top 8 to give ASC  a 9th place finish out of 17 teams. It was an exciting weekend.  WE ARE PROUD OF ALL OF OUR ASC SWIMMERS!

Leading the way was Zoe Craig achieving 2 State Qualifying times in the 100 & 200 Free, earning 2nd place overall in points for 10 & Under girls and placing 1st in the 200 Free and 2nd in both the 200 IM and 100 Free.
  • AJ's  top finishes were a 2nd in both the 50 and 200 free.
  • Beaudin's top finishes were a 2nd in both the 50 and 100 breast.
  • Kyla's top finishes were a 3rd in the 50 back and Medley Relay and 4th in the 50 and 100 breast.
  • Kouske's top finishes were 3rd in the 50 breast, 4th in the 50 fly and 5th in the 100 breast.
  • Lia and Mahina had a great meet swimming in the largest - most competitive age group, giving great effort on all swims.  They were part of the 3rd place Free relay  and 4th place Medley relay.
  • Sophia J. swam well, placing in the 50 & 100 back and Medley relay.
  • River  swam solid times, placing in the 100 back and 100 breast.
THANK YOU to ALL parents.  We had 100% participation from the parents, sharing shifts of timing and being safety marshall.  A special MAHALO to Laura Robertson who spent both days, all day on deck as a stroke and turn judge.  The meet was run short officials, as there was no one on the bulkhead for turns.  If you are interested in officiating - the sport, the state, the island, our team needs officials !

On behalf or the entire coaching staff, I want to thank Coach Barbara for being the ASC coach at the JAG meet. This is a great meet for many reasons. We also want to thank the parents for allowing their swimmers to attend.

All the best,
Coach Mark
