Congratulations to all of the swimmers who competed in the Kulkio Blue Water Swim.  I hope everyone had a chance to read Mark's write-up of yesterday's event - turnout was pretty amazing!

WORKOUTS THIS WEEK:  

  • Bronze 1 – 4 – 4:40. Monday & Wednesday, w/ Coach Amanda
  • Bronze 2 – 4:45 – 5:25. Monday & Wednesday 4:45 - 5:25 w/ Coach Amanda
  • Bronze 3 – 5:30 – 6:30 - Monday, Wednesday & Thursday w/Coach Amanda
  • Silver – 5:30 – 6:30 – Mon, Wed & Thurs w/Coach Lauren or Coach Greg
  • Gold – 5:15 – 6:30. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday w/ Coach Kerry
  • Senior – 3:30 - 5:15 - Monday Tues, Wed, Thurs & Fri - w/Coach Mark & Kerry
  • Gold & Senior - 7:30 - 9 AM - Saturday - w/ Coach Mark

Next Meet is October 19 at Kamehameha Schools, in Kea'au.  The meet has a different format, and is being run as a Pentathlon.  Swimmers may enter individual events or enter as a Pentathlete! Options for the Pentathlon are 50's of each stroke / 100 IM or to go 100's of each stroke.  As soon as the meet notice is posted, we will share details.  Coach Mark will be in Michigan this weekend, as he has the honor of being the emcee for legendary Michigan and OIympic Coach Jon Urbanchek's celebration of life.

ASC MEET SCHEDULE:

  • Oct. 19:  Kea'au, Big Island Swimming
  • Oct. 26-27: Bill Smith Invitational, Oahu – Qualifying Times AA+ and 2 Bonus if AA
  • Nov. 2:  HPA, Big Island Swimming
  • Nov.15 – 17:  Senior Champs, Oahu – Qualifying Times Sr. A and 2 “B” if “Sr - A”
  • Dec. 7: Kona, Big Island Swimming
    • During High School Season there will be a piggy back meet on a Saturday tbd
  • Feb. 8: Big Island Swimming – Last Chance to Qualify for States / JAG
  • Feb. 20–23: Hawaii Age Group Champs, Kona – Qualifying Times Required
  • Mar. 8 & 9: Junior Age Group Champs, Maui – Qualifying Times Required
  • Mar. 20-23 – Senior Zones, Kona – Qualifying Times Required
