HIGH SCHOOL SEASON UPDATE:  Saturday, Jan. 18th High School Seniors and current ASC Swimmers Hulton Chicoine, Beaudin Schad, Finn Wirum and former ASC Swimmers Kainalu Birdsall, Ione Chicoine, Zoe Craig, Maile Imonen, Sophia Jordan and Fischer Wawner swam in their final home high school swim meet, followed by a team lunch in their honor.  For some the pool has been their 2nd home for as many as 10 years, so it was a celebration with both tears and huge smiles!  BIIF Champs are Jan 31 & Feb,1 at Kamehameha and HHSSA champs are Feb. 14 & 15 at the University of Hawaii.  For some these competitions are another milestone, for others it will be the  culmination of competing in their chosen sport.  We wish them the best.

Practice Schedule this Week

 MONDAY, Martin Luther King Jr Day:  Senior & Gold - 7:30 - 9:30 AM and Silver & Bronze 3 - 5:30 - 6:30 PM 

The rest of the week:

  • Bronze 3 & Silver: Wed & Thurs 5:30 – 6:30 w/ Coaches Amanda & McKenna
  • Gold: 5:15 - 6:30 - Tues w/ Coach Kerry and Wed & Thurs w/Coach Barbara
  • Senior: Tues Fri 3:30 – 5:15 / Wed, Fri AM w/ High School Coaches

  • Feb. 27 – March 2: Hawaii Age Group Champs, Kona – Qualifying Times Required
    • 11, 12, 13 & 14 year olds have different time standards for this meet and will be swam as single age divisions.
    • 10 & U / 15-18 are status quo.
  • Mar. 8 & 9: JAG - Junior Age Group Champs, Maui – Hawaiian Times of A or INV Only
  • Mar. 13 – 16:  Sectionals, Boise, Idaho – Qualifying Times – Posted & in Meet Notice
    • With a qualifying time, may swim 2 bonus events and / or time trials
  • Mar. 20 - 23: SW 14 & U Regionals - Sacramento, Calif - Qualifying Times Required
  • Mar. 27 – 29:  Kona Senior Spring Invitational, Kona – Qualifying Times Required
  • April 5: Big Island Swimming Meet at HPA
  • April 26: Big Island Swimming Schedule at HPA
  • May 24: KCAC - scheduled - but needing final approval
