CONGRATULATIONS to the five ASC swimmers who competed in the Aulea Winter Festival Invitational on Oahu over the weekend:  Jace Buscher, Samuel Evanowich, Kai Kennedy, Kali Kennedy & Mauna Kea Yamashita.  EXTRA RECOGNITION for Kali Kennedy who set new ASC records in the 100 & 200 Fly and Kai Kennedy who made his first State Qualifying Time (100 IM).  Official results have not been accessed, but all five swimmers experienced swimming in prelims and finals, which was a great learning opportunity!

Practice Schedule this Week

  • Bronze 3 & Silver: 5:30 - 6:30, Mon, Wed & Thurs w/ Coaches Amanda & Barbara
  • Gold: 5:15 - 6:30 - Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs w/Coach Kerry
  • Senior: Regular AM practices and Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs 3:30 start w/ High School Coaches
  • NO AFTERNOON PRACTICE FRIDAY or SATURDAY MORNING

ASC Meet Schedule for 2025:​

  • Feb. 8: Big Island Swimming KCAC - Need to Commit / Decline !
  • Feb. 27 – March 2: Hawaii Age Group Champs, Kona – Qualifying Times Required
    • 11, 12, 13 & 14 year olds have different time standards for this meet and will be swam as single age divisions.
    • 10 & U / 15-18 are status quo.
  • Mar. 8 & 9: JAG - Junior Age Group Champs, Maui – Hawaiian Times of A or INV Only  
    • Meet Notice Posted - Saturday afternoon / Sunday morning - timed finals
    • Entries are based on the entry time as of Feb. 25th, not updated with swims at Champs
  • Mar. 13 – 16:  Sectionals, Boise, Idaho – Qualifying Times – Posted & in Meet Notice
    • With a qualifying time, may swim 2 bonus events and / or time trials
  • Mar. 20 - 23: SW 14 & U Regionals - Sacramento, Calif - Qualifying Times Required
  • Mar. 27 – 29:  Kona Senior Spring Invitational, Kona – Qualifying Times Required
  • April 5: Big Island Swimming Meet at HPA
  • April 26: Big Island Swimming Schedule at HPA
  • May 24: KCAC - scheduled, need final approval
  • June 7: Big Island Swimming Meet at Kamehameha
    • Senior Champs June 19 - 22, Oahu
  • June 28: Big Island Swimming Meet at Kamehameha
    • Age Group Champs July 17-20 - Oahu
