Week of Feb. 17
WOW!! What an incredible weekend of “best times” and great competition at the HHSSA Swimming State Championships. HPA Boys finished 2nd overall, setting six new school records in the process. HPA Girls finished 4th overall. This high school meet was USA swimming sanctioned, so 2 ASC records were set in the 15-16 age group: Morgan Kearney in the 50 Free and Kaiea Hudgins in the 100 Fly. The awards banquet is Thursday evening. CONGRATULATIONS to ALL SWIMMERS!
PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
- Bronze 1 starts MONDAY at 4 PM
- Bronze 2 starts MONDAY at 4:45 PM
- Silver & Bronze 3: 5:30 – 6:30 Monday and Wednesday – NO PRACTICE THURSDAY
- Gold: 5:15 – 6:30 Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday – NO PRACTICE THURSDAY
- Senior: Coach Mark to send email re: schedule – AM / some afternoons
ENTRIES for AGE GROUP STATE CHAMPS are due Monday, Feb. 17th. Senior swimmers PLEASE check in (asap) with Coach Mark to confirm your intent to compete.
ENTRIES for JUNIOR AGE GROUP STATE CHAMPS on MAUI are due in a week. Swimmers have received a separate email if they are eligible to compete in this event, please commit or decline as soon as you know if you will be attending or not.
SECTIONALS in Boise, Idaho – March 13 – 16. 5 swimmers are registered to compete: Morgan, Pemma, Coleson, Kaiea & X.
SW AGE GROUP REGIONALS in Sacramento, California. – March 20 – 23. Jace & Kali will be competing in this post-season competition.
