#1 - Beaudin Schad (Parker Graduate '25) at his new school!  So fun to see him in his Academy Shirt ready to face his new adventure. Beaudin was a member of ASC for 10 years!  It is pretty amazing as a coach, to play a part in the growth and development of athletes like Beaudin - from an ABC swimmer to a Sectional athlete.. We wish him the best.

We have an exciting week ahead as coaches help swimmers focus and prepare for Saturday afternoon’s Pentathlon.  Many of the 41 ASC swimmers that are entered are doing the full Pentathlon. It promises to an exciting sprint festival! We are looking forward to seeing everyone swim. 

Workouts this week:

  • Bronze 1: Mon & Wed, 4 – 4:40 w/Coach Barbara
  • Bronze 2: Mon & Wed, 4:45 – 5:25 w/ Coach Barbara
  • Silver: Mon, Wed & Thurs, 5:30 – 6:30 w/ Coach Amanda & Coach Barbara
  • Gold: NO DRYLAND this WEEK - Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs 5:15 – 6:30
    • w/Coach Kerry on Monday and Coach McKenna on Tues, Wed. & Thurs
  • Senior: MWF – AM / MTWThF – after school
  • SATURDAY: Pentathlon – more to come – Competition starts at 1 PM
  •  
  • ​​Monday, Labor Day: NO AFTERNOON PRACTICES for Bronze/Silver/Gold/Senior
    • Optional AM Practice for Senior Group with Masters 

USA Registration:

Signups with our National Organization will begin NEXT WEEK, after Sept. 1 for new and returning swimmers who didn’t register last season.  2025 Registered Swimmers - - your USA card will show “renew now” on the USA website, but you don’t have to renew until Dec. 15.  ASC would like all swimmers registered for 2026 before the holidays.

  • Dec. 14 – BIS Schedule “A” at HPA / ASC Hosts

Monday, Sept. 15 – ASC will host an awards ceremony recognizing achievements from the Long Course Season:  team photos, certificates, a potluck and pool play time.  All swimmers may participate - - timeline still to be determined.

BECOME AN OFFICIAL - - with 90 swimmers on the team, we need more officials to meet the quota set by our LSC, which is 1 official for every 15 swimmers – so a minimum of 6 officials.  The official is counted once they have worked 10 sessions. Each BIS meet has 2 sessions, so it takes 5 meets to fulfill the 10-session requirement.  Officiating meet count start Sept. 1, 2025 and runs through Aug. 31, 2026.  We offer tuition subsidy for our officials. Officials start out as stroke and turn judges, you can check with our current certified officials: Melissa Schad, Oscar Pouoa, Robyn Scarth or Ranya Williams.  If you would like to “try” - - please contact Coach Barbara to get signed up and start the process.  You are needed and appreciated!
