Week of Sept. 15

We have a very exciting week ahead.  Coach Mark sent out information about the Olympian Clinic THIS WEEKEND – a very unique opportunity for ASC swimmers! There will be a sign-up posted soon on our website commit / decline, so that we can organize and get a count! 

Tentative Plan: Friday, 3:30 – 5:30  Silver & (Part 1) Senior and Saturday, 7:30 – 9:30 AM Gold & (Part 2) Senior

We postponed the Awards/Social/Pool Party until Monday, Sept. 29^th  to make it even bigger with group & full team photos (wear your new team shirt), family potluck and parent meeting to add to the fun!  We are excited to focus on preparing for the OLYMPIAN CLINIC at the end of the week.

• Bronze 1: Mon & Wed, 4 – 4:40 w/Coach Barbara
• Bronze 2: Mon & Wed, 4:45 – 5:25 w/ Coach Barbara
• Silver: Mon, Wed & Thurs, 5:30 – 6:30 w/ Coach Amanda & Coach Barbara
• Gold: Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs, 5:15 – 6:30 w/Coach Kerry
• Senior: MWF – AM / MTWTh – PM w/Coach Mark
• FRIDAY AFTERNOON: Silver / Senior – Clinic Opportunity
• SATURDAY EARLY: Gold / Senior – Clinic Opportunity

• Oct. 4 – Amax Meet at Kawamoto Pool in Hilo – Sign-ups Coming Soon !
  • Open to all swimmers with a NT, C, B or A time in an event
  • If you have an "IN/AA" time in an event you cannot swim it, but you can swim other events
  • Senior swimmers who want to compete in Oct. 18 Sr. Meet at Punahou and don't have a SrB time - consider swimming  this meet (500 Free, 200 back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly)
  • No eligibility (time) requirement to compete in the 200’s, 500, 1000 & 1650
  • There will not be starting blocks for this meet.
  • Swimmers must be USA registered
• Oct. 18 – BIS Schedule “B” at HPA / ASC hosts - EVERYONE
  • Oct. 18 – Sr. Meet at Punahou (up to 3 events - choice of 500 Free, 200 Back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, 400 IM)

• Nov. 8 – BIS Schedule “C” at KCAC – Last Meet for Bronze Swimmers - EVERYONE
  • Nov. 20 – 22 – Sr. Champs on Oahu – VMAC or U of H Manoa
  • Dec. 6 & 7 – Ken Suenaga Invitational – VMAC – w/ Coach Kerry
• Dec. 14, Sunday  – BIS Schedule “A” at HPA / ASC Hosts
• Feb. 7 – BIS at KCAC
  • Feb. 26 – Mar 1 – AGE GROUP CHAMPS at VMAC, Oahu – w/Coach Kerry
  • March 7 & 8 – JAG CHAMPS in Kailua, Oahu – INV & A TIMES – w/Coach Barbara
  • March 12 – 15 – Senior Sectionals in Seattle – w/Coach Mark

• 2025 USA Registered Swimmers, on the USA Website your USA card will show “renew now”, but you have until Dec. 15.  

A Special thank you to the adults who volunteered their time to make the Sept. 13 meet runs moothly:  Referree Melissa Schad, Stroke & Turn Officials Ranya Williams, CarolAnn Rose, Mahealani Yamashita & Forrest McMahon, and Timers Lora Sakai, Lauren Prutow-McKenna & Greg McKenna.

BECOME AN OFFICIAL - -with 90 swimmers on the team, we need more officials to meet the quota set by our LSC, which is 1 official for every 16 swimmers – so a minimum of 6 officials.  An official is counted once they work 10 sessions. Officiating meet count start Sept. 1, 2025 and runs through Aug. 31, 2026.  We offer tuition subsidy for our officials. Officials start out as stroke and turn judges, you can check with our current certified officials: Melissa Schad, Oscar Pouoa, Robyn Scarth or Ranya Williams.  If you would like to “try” - - please contact Coach Barbara to get signed up and start the process.  You are needed and appreciated!
