Wow!  What a fun clinic for ASC swimmers this past Friday and Saturday, as they focused on streamlines and turns with Michael Andrew, Mikel Schreuders, Petra Senanszky and Patrick Sammon.  

This coming Saturday, Sept 27th is the Kuki'o Swim which many ASC swimmers are participating in!  We hope you have great conditions for some strong swims!  This Saturday is also the first Hi-Pal Pool Day (swimming, diving & waterpolo activities) at Kawamoto Pool, sponsored by the Police Department and Hawai'i County.  Senior swimmers Leonie and Ema will be volunteering along with Coach Barbara to support the program.

  • Bronze 1: Mon & Wed, 4 – 4:40 w/Coach Barbara
  • Bronze 2: Mon & Wed, 4:45 – 5:25 w/ Coach Barbara
  • Silver: Mon, Wed & Thurs, 5:30 – 6:30 w/ Coach Amanda & Coach Barbara
  • Gold: Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs, 5:15 – 6:30 w/Coach Kerry
  • Senior: MWF – AM / MTWThF– PM w/Coach Mark
  • Saturday - Kuki'o Swim - no pool practice

TEAM ACTIVITY - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th:

  • 4:45 - 5:15: Team Pictures - Wear your shirts - by Group and Everyone !
  • 5:15: Awards - recognition for accomplishments in the 2025 Long Course Season
  • 5:30 - Parent Meeting:  Safe Sport Update, Team Unify, Meets, Time Standards, Questions
  • 5:30 - Swimmers: Pool Play
  • 6 PM - Potluck Dinner

NEXT MEET, OCT. 4 in HILO - "A" Max times - All Events - Commit or Decline by Saturday, Sept. 27th

UPCOMING MEETS:

  • Oct. 4 – Amax Meet at Kawamoto Pool in Hilo 
    • Open to all swimmers with a NT, C, B or A time in an event
    • If you have an "IN/AA" time in an event you cannot swim it, but you can swim other events
    • Senior swimmers who want to compete in Oct. 18 Sr. Meet at Punahou and don't have a SrB time - consider swimming  this meet (500 Free, 200 back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly - to qualify for Punahou)
    • No eligibility (time) requirement to compete in the 200’s, 500, 1000 & 1650
    • There will not be starting blocks for this meet, but have electronic timing system
    • Swimmers must be USA registered
  • Oct. 18 – BIS Schedule “B” at HPA / ASC hosts - EVERYONE
    • Oct. 18 – Sr. Meet at Punahou (up to 3 events - choice of 500 Free, 200 Back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, 400 IM)
    • Oct. 25-26 – Bill Smith Invitational – VMAC – w/ Coach Kerry
  • Nov. 8 – BIS Schedule “C” at KCAC – EVERYONE -  Last Meet for Bronze Swimmers 
    • Nov. 20 – 22 – Sr. Champs on Oahu – VMAC or U of H Manoa
    • Dec. 6 & 7 – Ken Suenaga Invitational – VMAC – w/ Coach Kerry
  • Dec. 14, Sunday  – BIS Schedule “A” at HPA / ASC Hosts
  • Feb. 7 – BIS at KCAC
    • Feb. 26 – Mar 1 – AGE GROUP CHAMPS at VMAC, Oahu – w/Coach Kerry
    • March 7 & 8 – JAG CHAMPS in Kailua, Oahu – INV & A TIMES – w/Coach Barbara
    • March 12 – 15 – Senior Sectionals in Federal Way, WA – w/Coach Mark
    • March 19 – 22 – NW Age Group Regionals in Federal Way, WA – w/Coach Kerry

BECOME AN OFFICIAL - -with 90 swimmers on the team, we need more officials to meet the quota set by our LSC, which is 1 official for every 16 swimmers – so a minimum of 6 officials.  An official is counted once they work 10 sessions. Meet Sessions start Sept. 1, 2025 and runs through Aug. 31, 2026.  We offer tuition subsidy for our officials. Officials start out as stroke and turn judges, you can check with our current certified officials: Melissa Schad, Oscar Pouoa, Robyn Scarth or Ranya Williams.  If you would like to “try” - - please contact Coach Barbara to get signed up and start the process.  You are needed and appreciated!
