The patiently awaited ribbons from the Oct.18 swim meet are here!!  We will hand them out at practice on Monday!

At the Bill Smith Invitational last weekend, Jace Buscher broke Kai Griley’s 200 Free record!  Congratulations to Jace for breaking a record that stood for 10 years!  Also at Bill Smith, Elliot Boland earned his Champ time in the 10&U 200 Free.

This Weekend:  8 ASC senior group swimmers are headed to the Senior Meet on Oahu Friday evening, Nov. 7.  And, 33 ASC swimmers are signed up for the meet in Kona, Saturday, Nov. 8.  Wishing fast swims for all!

Nov. 8th:         

  • 7:30 – Session I warm-up - Kelan Kennedy
  • 8:00 – Session I – 1650 & 1000 Free Combined
  • 8:30 – Session 2 warm-up
  • In water at 8:30 for Senior & Gold and 9 AM for Silver & Bronze
  • 9:30 – Session 2 starts

Bronze Swimmers:  Your season ends with practice on Wednesday, Nov. 5, unless you are signed up for the meet on Saturday Nov. 8th. The new season will start after the high school swim/dive season ends, with a tentative starting date of Monday, Feb. 23.  Bronze will continue on Mon. & Wed, same times. I will be contacting parents about some movement between Bronze 1 and Bronze 2. Please let me know if your swimmer is going to continue or take a break as there is a significant waiting list for Spring Bronze 1 & 2.

Meet Fees:  You will see an increase in the charge you receive for meet fees.  The state organization has added a $6 participation fee that goes into the LSC kitty to support clinics and athlete travel.  There is also an additional $1 charge for events split between the LSC and BIS, our island organization.  Every meet has slightly different charges.  The athlete surcharge and event fee increase with the higher levels of competition.

  • Bronze 1: Mon & Wed, 4 – 4:40 w/Coach Barbara – LAST WEEK !
  • Bronze 2: Mon & Wed, 4:45 – 5:25 w/ Coach Barbara – LAST WEEK !
  • Silver: Mon, Wed & Thurs, 5:30 – 6:30 w/ Coach Amanda & Coach Barbara
  • Gold: 5:15 - 6:30 – Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs w/ Coach Kerry 
  • Senior: MW – 5:45 - 7:15 AM / MTWTh - 3:30 - 5:15

  • Dec. 6 & 7 – Ken Suenaga Invitational – VMAC – w/ Coach Kerry – IN times

  • Feb. 7 – BIS Schedule “B” at KCAC - EVERYONE
